Upon first logging into the new production or test environments, you’ll be prompted to install a new version of Jinitiator.

 

Click Yes to continue at the Security Warning window.

 

 

Click Next to accept the default destination folder

 

 

Click OK to finish the installation.

 

 

Verifying Jinitiator 1.3.1.17

 

It may be possible that your system already has Jinitiator 1.3.1.17.  If this is the case, you will not be prompted to download and install version 1.3.1.17.   To verify your version, go to Control Panel and look for an icon titled “Jinitiator 1.3.1.17”

In order to better orient your activity, titles have been added to Internet Explorer.

Prevent the Dropping of Active Banner Sessions When Opening Another Internet Explorer Session

 

Please note:

 

You cannot “reuse” the parent browser that launches Banner,  doing so will end your Banner session.  When you establish your session, minimize the parent browser and do not use this to browse to other websites.

If you are experiencing the loss of your active Banner session connections, when attempting to open another Internet Explorer session, the following steps should help alleviate the problem.

 

1.    Open any Internet Explorer session

 

2.      In the menu bar, click Tools à Internet Options (see below)

 

 

 

 

You will then get the Internet Options window. 

 

3.      Click on the advanced Tab (at the top), and search for the item, “Reuse windows for launching short cuts.”  Uncheck the box, if it is checked (see picture below)

 

 

 

 

4.  When you have properly reviewed/unselected the item, you need to click the button “Apply.”  After your changes have been applied, click “OK” to exit.
